I’m an avid Twitter user and am excited to be able to participate in this event, even though I physically won’t be there (most likely will be in the kitchen…).
Who: Anyone interested in getting together with friends for pupus, drinks, and music, all for a good cause! But certainly all Twitter users hoping to use social media to bring social change.
When: Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. — pau hana party!

Happy Hearts is participating in this year’s Family Fun Fair at Leeward Community College. This year, they’re having a farmer’s market section showcasing local products. There will also be food from LECC’s culinary arts program.
We are taking pre-orders (until thursday afternoon) for those of you who want something other than assorted 3-pks. ($9 each) or who want to specify specific flavors or flavor combinations. In addition to the regular flavors, kuri will be available, as well as the pumpkin haupia. Quantities are limited. Because we’ll be at Leeward, we will not be taking orders for mochi pick-ups at the mochi house that day.

Have you made plans for Mother’s Day yet? You’ll be able to find wonderful items for mom AND help several awesome charitable organizations as well at the Bead Gallery’s Charity Fair this weekend. While our mochi will not last ’til Mother’s Day, we will have mochi available for you to enjoy there. You can also bid for Happy Hearts gift certificates at the silent auction! Speaking of Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 is already booked. We do have some space left for Saturday, May 10, so if you want mochi for your mommy, let us know soon! =)
***Thank you to everyone who came out to the fair!!! With your help, Happy Hearts was able to donate more than $500 and together with the other Bead Gallery friends, were able to raise more than $14,000 for the Kapiolani Breast Health Center and the Kukui Children’s Foundation!***
Shirokiya is holding an Island Fair, going on now through March 23, where you can find tasty island treats from across the state — including Happy Hearts Mochi!
In addition to picking up a sampler at Shirokiya, you can still place custom orders for pick-up at the mochi house.
